In applications involving high volumes, the stretch film is applied by machines instead of manual application. This not only ensures higher output, but also results in uniform stretch of the film being used. The machine stretches uniformly and steadily across the surface of the product. But due to the high tensile strength required for such applications, the regular manual grade films cannot be used and films with high strength and stretchability are used. Also, to avoid frequent stoppages of the machine to change the rolls, longer rolls are used. Such film are termed as “ Machine-Grade Stretch Films”.
Stretch film, as the name suggests, refers to a plastic film which is capable of stretching itself significantly beyond its original length. By significantly, we mean 200% or even more (like 300 or even 350%). The elasticity of these films (i.e. the tendency of these films to return to their original length) makes them suitable to pack unevenly shaped objects like a machine or a cycle or a yatch. These films also have an inbuilt adhesion thereby enabling them to tightly hold the material to be packed. Also, the loose end of the film also does not remain hanging and gets stuck to the pack itself. These manual grade films are available in small weights thereby making them suitable to be applied manually by holding them in hand.
For the convenience of the users, Packmart.IN presents small rolls of 2, 3, 4 and 6” width which are less than even 400 grams weight with 24mm dia cardboard cores. Such rolls are handy and do not strain the worker while packing any object. We are among the few sources for 2” wide baby rolls. The size of these rolls is decided based upon the convenience of the user and their easy grip on the roll. Small size of these rolls also helps get into small places where bigger rolls are difficult to reach.
