In applications involving high volumes, the stretch film is applied by machines instead of manual application. This not only ensures higher output, but also results in uniform stretch of the film being used. The machine stretches uniformly and steadily across the surface of the product. But due to the high tensile strength required for such applications, the regular manual grade films cannot be used and films with high strength and stretchability are used. Also, to avoid frequent stoppages of the machine to change the rolls, longer rolls are used. Such film are termed as “ Machine-Grade Stretch Films”.
